What is Johnny's Place?

Johnny’s Place is an activity-based support centre in Penrith for late teens and adults with mild to moderate intellectual or developmental disabilities.

What goes on there?

Those on an NDIS Plan can book in for Capacity Building sessions across a range of focus areas, based on participant’s needs.

Popular Capacity Building focus areas include:

» Art & Craft

» Money Management

» Body & Movement

» Life Skills

» Social Skills

Sessions are led by trained professionals in small groups or at a ratio of 1:1.

There are two dedicated classrooms inside the centre specifically for these sessions.

Your chance to chill

When you’re not learning new skills, Johnny’s Place is a fun, relaxed space to hang out in.

You can shoot hoops at the basketball ring, smash it out on the ping pong table, flex your reflexes at air hockey, listen to music or just kick back on the bean bags.

When can I visit?

Johnny’s Place is often the designated meeting place for our social activities or day adventures, providing an opportunity to socialise in a group.

When you book in for a social activity or day adventure via the Johnny H Adventures program, you will be notified of when to come to Johnny’s Place.

Likewise, when you book a Capacity Building session, you will have a set day and time to visit us at Johnny’s Place.
